About this event
What is the annual General Assembly and conference?
The Annual General Assembly is Cooperatives Europe’s highest decision-making moment. It brings together members from across Europe to make key decisions about the organisation’s governance, strategy, and finances. It is where the members formally shape the future of the network.
Alongside it, the public conference offers space to discuss pressing topics for cooperatives and the wider movement — from policies to entrepreneurship, sustainability, digitalisation, and youth involvement. It connects members with policymakers, sector experts, and peers across countries.
Why is it important?
Democratic governance – members vote on reports, plans, budgets, and elect representatives. This keeps the organisation accountable and member-driven.
Strategic direction – it’s where priorities for the coming year are agreed.
Visibility and networking – the conference raises the profile of cooperatives and opens discussions with policy-makers and other stakeholders.
Member engagement – it’s the main yearly opportunity for members to meet, exchange ideas, and influence common work.
